Thomas Bisset shares his thoughts and pictures of Toby Michaels Rolling Damned video shoot.
Sunday. A day of rest for some. For others, it’s a day to be really annoyed at Ashley Young and Ashley Cole. For Toby Michaels’ Rolling Damned, it makes for an afternoon of lugging lots of PA gear and instruments into a small comic-book store after closing time to shoot the video for new single Save Me…
“We were looking for somewhere unique with character to do a session with Nut Productions and also wanted to showcase the live electric sound of the band” frontman Toby Michaels told us; “So when our bassist suggested Heroes For Sale we thought that would be a perfect location for us to shoot”
With three ardent comic-book fans in the Rolling Damned lineup it’s perhaps not as surprising a location as some might think. Gary Davies, Heroes For Sale owner agrees; “I was excited to be asked by a member of the band if they could film a video for one of their tracks in the store. It’s a little unusual so my attitude was ‘why the hell not’ “.
“I was very impressed by the quality of their performance and I can’t wait to see the footage of this online. I guess they got themselves another fan me.”
Fortunately it won’t be long before he, and indeed anyone else can see them again. Toby Michaels Rolling Damned will be performing in aid of the Air Ambulance charity at the Boat of Garten community hall on Friday the 6th of July, and they’ll be taking part in the Summer Showcases at the Ironworks; mark the 30th of August on your calendar. And if festivals are more your thing, remember to check them out on the Seedlings Stage at Belladrum.
The video is released on Friday 30th June you can see it here. You can see the first interview about the Rolling Damned here.
