Guitarist RM Hubbert, formerly of El Hombre Trajeado, was described, by The Fly, as “armed with an acoustic guitar and technical chops informed by the percussive elements of flamenco as much as a love for hardcore punk and countless other experimenters and dreamer.” (see full review).

His second album Thirteen Lost and Found was released earlier this year and produced by Alex Kapranos from Franz Ferdinand. The album features collaborations from some very special artists such as Aidan Moffat, Emma Pollock, Luke Sutherland, Stuart Braithwaite and Alasdair Roberts and was released through Chemikal Underground Records.

A hugely talented artist RM Hubbert and firmly established on the Glasgow scene he finally looks set to gain the recognition he so richly deserves.

Support is an acoustic set from Kris Douglas and Andy Davidson of local heroes The Whisky River Band who can be seen playing the Grass Roots Stage at Belladrum Festival this August.

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
