A great new addition to the festival will be the Friday, which will boast a majority of local acts in The Outlanders, Jamie “Jam” Reid, Sheppy, Sid Davidson, Crazy Cottage, Always the Sixth and The Maydays. Truly emphasising the range of quality in the area and great to see them getting the opportunity to play the mainstage.Headliner for the Friday night will be The LaFontaines, whose stunning high energy show certainly was not missed by the organisers.

Saturday headliners, The Proclaimers, will be joined by plaudit winning cover band Kazabian, SAma winning Fatherson, Katie Sutherland (formerly of Pearl and the Puppets), lparty band/ rabble rousers Rhythmnreel, The Imagineers, the very reliable James Mackenzie, Penguins kill Polar Bears, Bassment, Sinister Flynn and Fire in Effect.

The goNorth tent will see 4 Inverness acts: Them & Us, Graham Brown, Iain McLaughlin and the Outsiders and Team Kapowski, joined by Sama nominated Oskar Empire, Make Sparks, Vigo Thieves and Little Kicks,

Arguably “pound for pound” the best festival in the Highlands, the line up certainly does indicate that tickets will be shifting at quite a rate. (see poster above for details).

A lifelong passion for music matched with a geeky fascination for social media and websites resulted in the creation of Inverness Gigs back in 2010. The aim of the site is to help promote, support and generally raise awareness of the local music scene. In fairness fifteen years of being a psychiatric nurse never prepared me for the experiences that we have had over the last few years and the evolution of Inverness Gigs has certainly been a steep learning curve.I currently write (less and less), edit and co-ordinate most of the Inverness Gigs activities.Occasionally seen on Twitter, and  LinkedIn, if you want get in touch you can contact me via our Facebook page.
