Get with it… proudly presents Clouds (Turbo/Blood Music)on the 27th of August. We will let the man in the know, Polymath, preview what looks like one of the biggest nights to hit Cake so far….
After a 2 month break, Get with it is back and returns with a bang as we host the young techno machines that blew the roof off the Subclub Soundsytem tent at Rockness.
Clouds are 19 and 20 year old Scots Calum Macleod and Liam Robertson. With a sound that dances the razors edge between frenzied banger and non-shameful techno, these prodigious young’uns have garnered huge support from the likes of 2manydjs, Erol Alkan, Tiga, Fake Blood, Brodinski, Boyz Noize and various other heavy weights across the globe.
In early 2011 they released their first EPs on Fake Blood’s ‘Blood Music’ label and Tiga’s Turbo Recordings. Clouds also like to remix, and having hammered out punishing-electro-bastard versions of Underworld, Proxy, The Subs, and most recently ZZT, they are set to pass a cherished milestone in remixography later this year when they demolish the s**t out of Moby.
Recent DJ sets have showcased an impressive knowledge of techno and a diverse range of influences, promising signs of an illustrious future DJ career for these talented wee artists.
Support comes from Polymath, Mykol Blyth, Abraham Thunderwolf, Boomshank Redemption and in Room 2, Bloodnut Discohall.
