Most inspired idea, so far, this fine Monday goes to David Heaney (of the Remains er fame). He is hosting Achiltibuie Battle of the Bands Saturday, 13 November 2010 at 13:00 Coigach Community Hall.
David’s currently looking for entries to the competition and is looking for bands from any genre to take part in a rather novel cup type competition (there promises to be an actual cup!!) vs the X-factor. It’s described as winner goes through, loser gets drunk, which to be honest sounds win-win. Equipment will be available and its clear that the event is not to be taken too seriously.
For people wanting to go along entry will be around £10 and will help fund bands travel to the event! The event promises to be interesting and throw up some strange combinations, most of all it will be fun!!!
